LAMPUNG - A total of 703 school units in Lampung Province have been repaired through the implementation of the school revitalization program during 2025.

"Throughout 2025, the school revitalization program in Lampung Province has managed to disburse funds of IDR 500 billion or an estimated 97.19 percent for school repairs," said Head of the Budget Implementation and Implementation Section II C of the Regional Office (Kanwil) of the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) of the Ministry of Finance Lampung Gwen Adhitya Amalkhan as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, July 12.

He said that the school revitalization program had improved 703 school units in Lampung Province.

"In the implementation of the school revitalization program in general, the school repair fund is from the central government. And in 2025, South Lampung Regency became the largest recipient of this school revitalization program with a total number of revitalized schools of 102 units," he said.

He explained that for 2026 there were no revitalization activities either from the government assistance scheme from the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) or from the Physical Special Allocation Fund (DAK).

"For the progress of the central government's strategic program in Lampung which is in the education sector, for the development of SMA Unggul Garuda until March 2026 there has been no physical development. However, the proposed location is in South Lampung Regency, Pringsewu, and Mesuji but only one location will be selected," he said.

Meanwhile, for the People's School program in Lampung Province, there have been three People's Schools, namely in East Lampung Regency, specifically in Penengahan District, South Lampung Regency, and Jati Agung District.

"The People's School being built in Kota Baru is designed as a boarding school, later the students from the People's School of the initiative, which currently still occupy temporary facilities such as the Integrated People's School 35 Bandarlampung, and SRMA 32 South Lampung will be relocated to a permanent building in Kota Baru to operate fully in the 2026/2027 school year," he said.
