JAKARTA - The Ministry of Culture officially appointed 208 civil servants (CPNS) to become civil servants (PNS) and appointed 148 administrative and functional officials in an effort to strengthen human resources to support national cultural development.
The oath-taking of civil servants and the inauguration of administrative and functional officials took place in Jakarta, Thursday (2/7).
Of the total 208 civil servants who took the oath, 58 people came from central units and 150 people from technical implementation units. On the same occasion, the ministry also appointed 146 functional officials, consisting of 50 central unit employees and 96 technical implementation unit employees.
In addition, two administrative officials were also inaugurated, namely Dr. Nahar Cahyandaru, S.Si., M.A. as Head of the Yogyakarta Special Region Cultural Preservation Agency and Riris Purbasari, S.S., M.A. as Head of the Central Java Cultural Preservation Agency.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture Bambang Wibawarta said the appointment as a civil servant was the beginning of a new responsibility to provide services to the community, not just a change in status of employment.
According to Bambang, the oath of civil servants binds each apparatus morally, ethically, and legally to carry out their duties with integrity, professionalism, and full responsibility.
"Every ASN is required to be a person with character, integrity, adaptable to change, able to work collaboratively, and always provide the best service to the community by practicing the basic values of ASN BerAKHLAK," he said.
He emphasized that ASN of the Ministry of Culture has a strategic role in implementing national cultural development policies. The apparatus in the ministry is expected to be able to implement the four pillars of policy, namely making culture as an economic force, a soft power instrument, a media for internalizing educational values, and a glue for national unity.
To the newly appointed administrator and functional officials, Bambang asked that the trust given by the state be translated into professional performance and have a real impact.
Administrator officials are encouraged to build cross-unit collaboration, utilize digital technology, and provide solutions to various organizational challenges. Meanwhile, functional officials are expected to strengthen the quality of public services through competence and expertise in their fields.
"I hope that you can be an example of a professional, disciplined, innovative, and results-oriented work culture. Avoid work patterns that merely drop administrative obligations. Instead, present a real contribution that benefits the organization, society, and the progress of Indonesian culture," said Bambang.
The appointment of civil servants and the inauguration of officials are part of the Ministry of Culture's efforts to strengthen organizational governance through a professional, integrated, adaptive, and public service-oriented apparatus to support the implementation of national cultural programs.
