JAKARTA - Iran-Qatar talks on Wednesday will discuss the implementation of Tehran's agreement with the US, as well as its frozen assets.

"What is likely to happen in Doha tomorrow is a discussion with the Qatari side on the implementation of several provisions of the memorandum of understanding, including provisions on the release of restricted Iranian assets," said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei, quoted by CNN, Tuesday, June 30.

He said Iran's negotiating team does not plan to meet with the American delegation in the coming days.

Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari said on Tuesday that US envoy Steve Witkoff and President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner had arrived in Doha to meet with Qatar's mediator, but stressed that there would be no meeting with Iranian officials.

According to him, the frozen Iranian funds of $6 billion have not been transferred to Tehran, but this will happen "in accordance with the progress of negotiations."
