DPR asks BGN to maximize the collection of farmers' and MSMEs' results for MBG

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sautuddin asked the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to maximize the absorption of the production of farmers to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) products for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.

According to Saan, this is actually the spirit of the Free Nutritious Meal program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto. Therefore, the absorption of the results of farmers and MSMEs must be increased again.

"I am confident that the government in this case BGN will continue to strive to absorb what is the results of farmers and MSMEs for the needs of MBG," said Saan as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 30.

He said empowering the results of farmers or MSMEs for the program would create a multiplier effect on the economy at the lowest level.

"And that is one of the spirits of MBG too," said Saan.

Previously, the Government ensured that the improvement of the management of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program was carried out to increase the accuracy of the target and the effectiveness of the implementation of the program without reducing services to the community, said the Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Dudung Abdurachman.

Dudung at Bina Graha, the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Friday (26/6), said that the improvement of governance aimed to ensure that every budget used had an optimal nutritional impact on the community.

"The improvement of the governance of the Free Nutritional Meal Program is not to reduce services, but to ensure that every rupiah of the state budget is more targeted, more appropriate for nutritional impact, and more beneficial for the community," said Dudung.
