Russian missile strikes on the central Ukrainian city of Dnipro killed at least five people on Monday and wounded more than 20 others, Ukrainian officials said.
"Russian forces carried out an air strike on a private company in the city of Dnipro," the national police said in a statement, launching Al Arabiya from AFP (29/6).
The police then uploaded photos showing paramedics treating the injured victim in the hot sun.
Meanwhile, regional governor Oleksandr Ganzha said five people were killed and at least 21 were injured, five of whom were in serious condition.
President Volodymyr Zelensky in a post on the X social media wrote "Russia launched a missile attack on Dnipro, targeting infrastructure."
"It is very important to fight this Russian terror," he said, stressing the need for anti-ballistic capabilities for defense.
"The sooner we have more of these capabilities, the more lives we can save," he tweeted.
Both Russia and Ukraine have stepped up air raids in recent months, as stalled negotiations have made little progress in ending the four-year war.
Dnipro, an industrial city about 100 kilometers (62 miles) from the front line, has regularly been targeted by the Russian military.
Yesterday, President Zelensky revealed that Ukraine had launched an attack on two Russian oil refineries in the Krasnodar and Yaroslavl regions on Saturday night.
It is known that the Slavyansk refinery is a private factory with a capacity of around 100,000 barrels per day. This refinery supplies fuel for domestic and export use.
Later, President Vladimir Putin admitted that the Ukrainian attack affected Russia's fuel supply, but it had not reached a critical stage.
In an interview published by the Kremlin on Sunday, President Putin admitted there was a "certain lack of fuel" after repeated Ukrainian attacks.
