The Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi as Chairman of the National Committee for the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia appreciated the high participation of the public in the selection process.
"The participation of more than 42 thousand people shows the high enthusiasm and sense of ownership towards the independence day of the nation. This is not just choosing a design, but also determining the visual identity that will represent the spirit and ideals of Indonesia in the future," said Prasetyo Hadi in a written statement, Friday, June 26.
According to Prasetyo, the open voting mechanism gives the public the opportunity to determine the logo that is considered the most capable of representing the spirit of unity and optimism of the nation.
He also assessed that public involvement in the selection of the logo was part of the spirit of mutual cooperation and community participation.
"The commemoration of the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia belongs to all Indonesian people. Every vote given is part of a joint contribution to strengthen unity and pride as an Indonesian nation," he said.
Prasetyo invited people who had not yet cast their votes to participate until the end of the election. According to him, the more people who are involved, the stronger the legitimacy of the logo which will later become the official identity of the 81st anniversary of the Indonesian Independence.
