JAKARTA - Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) young figure, Ali Ramadhan, officially launched a book entitled General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, The Architect of Police Precision in Jakarta, Wednesday, June 24. The book reviews the leadership journey of General Listyo Sigit Prabowo as the National Police Chief as well as the transformation of the National Police institution through the Precision concept.

Ali Ramadhan said the book not only records the career journey of the National Police Chief, but also offers a study on the role of the police in facing the challenges of democracy and social change in the digital era.

"This book reviews the leadership journey of General of Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo as the Head of the Indonesian National Police (Kapolri), as well as offering an analytical framework on the role of the police institution in facing democratic disruption in the digital age," said Ali at the book launch.

The event was also attended by political analyst Boni Hargens who wrote the prologue of the book, as well as Associate Professor and Lecturer of Politics at the National University, Firdaus Syam, as the recipient.

According to Ali, the book with more than 300 pages is divided into two large parts. The first part discusses the career journey and vision of the Precision (Predictive, Accountability, Fair Transparency) transformation which is the foundation of the National Police reform in the era of Listyo Sigit's leadership.

Meanwhile, the second part raises the theme of Disruption of Democracy and the Future Bhayangkara Corps, which discusses new challenges faced by the National Police, including the dynamics of large demonstrations in August-September 2025 and the implementation of the National Police Grand Strategy 2025-2045.

The book also traces the career journey of Listyo Sigit, starting from his initial assignment in Tangerang, his tenure as President Joko Widodo's aide, to being entrusted as the National Police Chief in January 2021.

Apart from the biographical aspect, Ali highlighted the concept of Precision as a paradigm for the work of the National Police to answer the challenges of the digital era, ranging from the rapid flow of information, the post-truth phenomenon, social polarization, to the increasing demands for public transparency and accountability.

Ali said that one of the main messages of this book is that leadership is not born instantly, but through a long process built from field experience, achievements, and a clear vision.

He also emphasized that the book was not intended as a glorification, but as an effort to objectively see how Listyo Sigit led the Polri institution in the midst of various democratic challenges and reform demands.

"Listyo has proven that leading in the era of disruption is not about showing muscle power, but about the sharpness of vision and sincerity to mend in the midst of a storm," said Ali.

According to him, the reform of the National Police is still a long process. However, the foundation built through the Precision paradigm is considered an important foothold for the transformation of the Bhayangkara institution into a more modern, open, and adaptive National Police to face future challenges.
