RSHS Bandung Forms Special Team to Handle Female Victims of Kidnapping

BANDUNG - Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) Bandung has formed a special medical team to handle YTR (29), a victim of kidnapping and abuse in Cileunyi District, Bandung Regency, which was carried out by his lover Taufik Hidayat for three years.

Director of Human Resources, Education and Research of RSHS Bandung dr. Fitra Hergyana said that his party was committed to providing the best service to support the recovery of the condition of the victim who suffered a number of serious injuries.

"Hasan Sadikin Hospital provides the best service and the best team. So we make a team from plastic surgery, internal medicine, eye, and others," said Fitra as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 23.

Fitra said the victim also received treatment from a psychiatrist to help the psychological recovery process due to the trauma he experienced.

"Psychiatrists have been consulted and have indeed consulted as well. Currently, the victim is being treated with psychiatric assistance," he said.

On the same occasion, West Java Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Rudi Setiawan explained that the victim's condition is currently showing progress because he can communicate even though he has not fully recovered.

"Alhamdulillah, I can talk to him," he said.

He explained that the medical team had cleaned the wounds on the victim's body and carried out comprehensive health care.

"What is certain is general health and yesterday the wounds were cleaned, debridement, and then comprehensively we improved all his health," he said.

Rudi said that based on the results of the forensic examination, a number of serious injuries were found on the victim's body, which was allegedly caused by the violence committed by the suspect.

"Forensic doctors have been able to identify damaged and non-functioning organs. Among them are the eyes, then the lips, there are cuts from sharp objects on the legs, then there are cigarette marks and so on. Of course this is evidence of what has happened or been done by the suspect," said Rudi.
