JAKARTA - PT KAI continues to strengthen the reliability and safety of facilities at various Jabodebek LRT stations to ensure users get a safe, comfortable, and reliable journey from entering the station area to reaching the final destination. Facility improvements are carried out through the optimization of lighting systems, renovation of elevators and escalators, and maintenance of station infrastructure that supports the smooth mobility of the community every day.

Throughout 2026, a number of facility improvement works have been carried out at various stations. The works include the addition and optimization of lighting systems at the Pancoran Station Pedestrian Bridge (JPO), the entrance area and JPO of the Kuningan Station, the JPO area and lift of the Rasuna Said Station, as well as the addition of air conditioners in the concourse area of the Dukuh Atas Station.

In addition, KAI also carried out a program to rejuvenate and increase the reliability of elevators and escalators at a number of stations, including Jatimulya, Bekasi Barat, Jatibening Baru, and Cikunir 1. The work includes replacing various main components to maintain the safety, comfort, and reliability of facilities used by the community every day. On the other hand, corrective maintenance _waterproofing_ of the roof is also carried out at all LRT Jabodebek stations to maintain the optimal condition of the facilities and provide comfort for users in various weather conditions.

Manager of Public Relations of the Jabodebek LRT, Radhitya Mardika, said that the improvement of station facilities is an important part of maintaining the quality of safe and integrated public transportation services.

"Safety is the main foundation of public transportation services. Therefore, every maintenance and improvement program for facilities that we carry out always prioritizes the safety aspect for users and officers, so that users can safely and comfortably carry out activities from being in the station area to arriving at their destination," said Radhitya.

Efforts to improve the facility are in line with the increasing number of Jabodebek LRT users. In the period January-May 2025, Jabodebek LRT served 10,727,798 users. Meanwhile, in the same period in 2026, it served 13,211,856 users.

The increase in the number of users is also reflected in the average daily users on weekdays which increased from around 98 thousand users in the period January-May 2025 to around 120 thousand users in the same period in 2026. This condition shows the increasing role of the Jabodebek LRT in supporting the mobility of the Jabodetabek community.

He said that the existence of reliable facilities is an important factor in supporting the user's travel experience, especially in the midst of increasing public demand for integrated and comfortable public transportation.

"LRT Jabodebek is part of an urban transportation ecosystem that is connected to various other modes of transportation. Therefore, improvements to facilities continue to be carried out so that users can switch modes more safely, comfortably, and smoothly. In the end, all of these efforts are aimed at providing an increasingly better travel experience for the community," he added.

KAI will continue to maintain and improve station facilities as part of efforts to provide safe, comfortable, and integrated public transportation services for the community.
