JAKARTA - Four major banks in Iran are reported to have experienced service disruptions following a cyber attack on Sunday, June 14.

Citing AN, the Iranian Banking Coordination Council said the hacker attack did not cause disruption to customer data.

The board added that the attempted break-in did not occur on customer information and no data was deleted.

According to Iranian state media, the attack targeted shared communication infrastructure used by Bank Melli, Bank Tejarat, Bank Saderat, and the Export Development Bank of Iran.
