Praz Teguh and Paula Verhoeven Investigated in Connection with the Alleged Misappropriation of Hanania Travel Umrah Fund

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya investigators are continuing to investigate the involvement of a number of influencers and public figures who have promoted the Hanania Travel travel agency in the case of alleged embezzlement of umrah funds. On Thursday, June 11, 2026, model Paula Verhoeven and comedian Praz Teguh fulfilled the summons as witnesses.

Kasubbid Penmas Bidhumas Polda Metro Jaya, Kompol Tiksnarto Andaru Rahutomo, said that so far investigators have examined six influencers related to the case.

"Those who have been examined so far are six influencers," said Andaru at the Polda Metro Jaya, Thursday, June 11, 2026.

One of the influencers who has been examined is Keanu Angelo. He underwent an examination on Monday, June 8, 2026, starting at 10.00 WIB until 16.00 WIB and received 28 questions from investigators.

Furthermore, on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, investigators examined three other influencers, namely Muhammad Thariq Halilintar, Aaliyah Massaid, and Anwar Sanjaya. The examination of the three of them lasted more than five hours.

From the results of the examination, Anwar Sanjaya handed over Rp30 million in cash which he had previously received from Hanania Travel. The money was then confiscated by investigators as part of the investigation process.

"He intends to return the money he received of Rp. 30 million to the investigators and now the seizure has been carried out by the investigators," said Andaru.

On Thursday, June 11, 2026, investigators re-examined Praz Teguh and Paula Verhoeven. Paula was actually scheduled to undergo an examination on Friday, June 12, 2026, but chose to attend early and her request was approved by the investigators.

"In essence, the Metro Jaya Police today and in the future will always be transparent in reporting how to handle cases involving Hanania Travel," said Andaru.

Meanwhile, for Friday, June 12, 2026, investigators scheduled an examination of five other public figures, namely Roger Danuarta, Cut Meyriska, Sarah Gibson, Dara Arafah, and Audrey Jesselyn.

According to Andaru, some of them are witnesses who previously requested a rescheduling of the examination.

"There is Brother RD, Sister CM, then SG, DA, and AJ," he said.

Andaru hopes that all witnesses who have been scheduled can meet the examination call which starts at 10.00 WIB. However, investigators do not rule out the possibility of calling other witnesses as the investigation progresses.

"This will still develop. If there is a party who knows the incident, of course, he will be questioned," said Andaru.

On the other hand, two influencers, namely Karin Novilda or Awkarin and Faisal Bagus Ibrahim, did not meet the call of the investigators without giving confirmation. Therefore, investigators plan to send a second call letter to both of them.

"Investigators will issue a second call to the two witnesses," concluded Andaru.
