KPK Issues New Sprindik to Develop the DJKA Project Bribery Case in Sumatra

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has issued a new investigation order (sprindik) related to alleged bribery of the railway line development project of the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub). Current investigators will focus on investigating alleged corruption that is suspected to have occurred in the Sumatra region.

"KPK will issue a new sprindik as of May 2026," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters through a written statement, Tuesday, June 2.

Even so, Budi said there were no suspects who had been determined in this case. He only stated that the sprindik was the basis for asking for information from a number of witnesses, including Farah Dina Eka Syamriati as a BTP Class II State Civil Servant for South Sumatra Region and Anisah who is the Managing Director of PT Surya Annisa Kencana.

However, of the two witnesses who attended, only Anisah was present. He has been questioned about the development project for a train line in the North Sumatra region.

Meanwhile, other witnesses were not present. "FD is not present, until now the investigators have not received confirmation from witnesses," said Budi.

The KPK previously continued to develop the bribery case for the construction of the railway line project of the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) in East Java. Sudewo as a former Member of Commission V of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia for the period 2020-2024 has been named a suspect.

Sudewo will undergo trial at the Corruption Court. The case file has been transferred from the investigation stage to the prosecution stage.

Sudewo will not only be tried in connection with the DJKA bribery case but also in connection with alleged extortion while serving as the Regent of Pati.
