JAKARTA - The Golkar Party spoke up about the viral song "MBG Mas Bahlil Ganteng" which is widely circulated on social media, especially TikTok. Golkar considers the humorous song to be a form of netizen creativity and does not need to be questioned.

Golkar Party Secretary General Sarmuji said his party was not disturbed by the emergence of a song featuring the figure of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) as well as the Chairman of the Golkar Party, Bahlil Lahadalia.

"It actually comes from the creativity of netizens as one form of appreciation for netizens' hard work for Mr. Bahlil," said Sarmuji in his statement, Wednesday, May 28.

The song "MBG Mas Bahlil Ganteng" is known to have been widely re-uploaded by social media users in recent days. The content is allegedly made by the creator of the @vokaliz_netizen account, who is known to often process netizen comments into light and entertaining songs.

With its relaxed and humorous lyrics, the song quickly spread across various digital platforms. Many social media users use the song's audio snippets for entertainment content.

Responding to the phenomenon, Sarmuji assessed that the emergence of creative songs on social media is a common thing in the digital era. Therefore, the public's response to political figures through entertainment content is not necessary to be over-reacted.

He also responded to a number of accounts affiliated with the Golkar Party who used the song in their uploads on social media.

"If there are Golkar accounts that join in the fun, it's only natural, they are part of netizens too," he said.

According to Sarmuji, the Golkar Party actually sees the viral of the song as entertainment in the midst of a lot of social media activities. "Yes, it's okay. Please. The song seems to be entertaining too," he said.
