General Manager of Operations and Maintenance of PT JJC Desti Anggraeni said the surge in vehicles showed the high mobility of the community who took advantage of the long Eid al-Adha holiday this year.

"The volume of vehicles passing through the MBZ Flyover Road is high, indicating an increase in community mobility in utilizing the momentum of the long Eid al-Adha holiday this year," said Desti, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, May 27.

Based on JJC data, as many as 47,525 vehicles were recorded leaving Jakarta through the MBZ Flyover Road on H-1 Iduladha. This figure jumped 125.73 percent compared to the normal traffic volume which was 21,054 vehicles.

Meanwhile, vehicle traffic from Cikampek to Jakarta in the same period also increased. A total of 25,638 vehicles were recorded passing to Jakarta or an increase of 20.12 percent compared to the normal condition of 21,344 vehicles.

Facing an increase in traffic flow during the long holiday period, PT JJC appeals to road users to prioritize safety during the journey.
