One Year of Operation, the PIK 2-Block M Transjabodetabek Route Has Reached 1.4 Million Passengers

JAKARTA - The Transjabodetabek PIK 2-Block M (T31) route has recorded more than 1.4 million customers during one year of operation. The line connecting the Pantai Indah Kapuk 2 area with the activity center of Blok M is now one of the favorite routes for residents to work and travel.

PT Transjakarta recorded the number of customers on the T31 route reaching 1,409,872 people since it was inaugurated by the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung on May 22, 2025. This figure jumped compared to the initial period of operation which only served 112,344 customers in the first month.

The high number of users shows that the Transjabodetabek route is being used not only for worker mobility, but also for cross-city travel and weekend recreation.

The PIK and Blok M areas themselves have been one of the points of dense citizen activity, especially at night and weekends.

Head of the Transjakarta Public Relations and CSR Department, Ayu Wardhani, said that the T31 route is now widely used by residents who want to avoid traffic jams and parking problems when heading to the PIK and Blok M areas.

"This route is not only used by workers and students, but also tourists and people who want to enjoy the PIK and Blok M areas without having to face congestion and the hassle of finding parking. We see an increase in community mobility, especially on weekends and holidays, which shows that public transportation is increasingly becoming part of the residents' lifestyle," said Ayu in Jakarta, Friday, May 22.

According to Ayu, the existence of the T31 route also opens access for residents to culinary centers, entertainment, public spaces, to economic areas with more affordable costs and more practical travel.

The route is also part of the expansion of the Transjabodetabek service, which has recently been encouraged by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to strengthen Jakarta's connectivity with the buffer area.

Transjakarta sees the positive response from the public to the cross-regional service continues to increase in recent times.

"Not only on the PIK 2-Block M (T31) route, similar enthusiasm can also be seen on various other Transjabodetabek services. This is a positive signal that people are increasingly open to switching to public transportation as a solution for daily mobility," said Ayu.
