Jabodetabek Weather 21 May: Bogor to South Jakarta Potentially Rained

JAKARTA - The weather in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) regions on Thursday, May 21, is predicted to be dominated by cloudy conditions to light rain in the afternoon and evening. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reminds the public to be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in a number of buffer areas of the capital.

The DKI Jakarta area is expected to experience sunny weather in the morning. However, light to moderate rain is potentially falling in South Jakarta and East Jakarta in the afternoon before evening.

The air temperature in Jakarta ranges from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius with a humidity level of 70-95 percent.

Meanwhile, the Bogor area is predicted to be the area with the highest rainfall intensity in Jabodetabek. Moderate to heavy rain is expected to fall from afternoon to evening, especially in the Bogor and Puncak Regency areas.

The air temperature in Bogor is in the range of 21-28 degrees Celsius with high humidity.

In the Bekasi area, the weather in the morning is expected to be thick clouds before light rain falls in the afternoon and evening. The air temperature ranges from 25 to 32 degrees Celsius. BMKG urges the public to be aware of waterlogging and slippery road conditions when it rains during rush hours.

The Tangerang and Depok areas are also predicted to experience light to moderate rain in the afternoon. The humid weather condition is still influenced by atmospheric activity in the western Java region which supports the growth of rain clouds in the last few days.

BMKG appeals to the public who are active outdoors to prepare umbrellas or raincoats and continue to pay attention to the latest weather information to anticipate weather changes that may occur at any time.
