JAKARTA - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said no terrorist is immune from Israeli attacks, following the country's success in killing one of the senior commanders of the elite forces of the Hezbollah group.
Netanyahu on Thursday claimed responsibility for the killing of a senior Hezbollah commander in Beirut, Lebanon the day before.
"Last night (Wednesday), we eliminated, in the heart of Beirut, the commander of the Radwan Hezbollah forces," Netanyahu said, in a video released by his office, referring to the elite Hezbollah unit, reported Al Arabiya from AFP (7/5).
"I say to our enemies as clearly as possible: no terrorist is immune. Whoever threatens the State of Israel will die for his actions," he said.
The Israeli military says it has killed a senior Hezbollah commander in the first attack on the Lebanese capital Beirut in weeks.
