JAKARTA - The Donald Trump administration accuses Europe, which is experiencing mass migration, of being a "incubator" of terrorism.

The accusation is contained in the latest US Counter-Terrorism Strategy document signed by Trump and published on Wednesday, May 6 local time.

The coordinator in this US counter-terrorism strategy is Sebastian Gorka, a figure who has been widely accused of having links to extreme right-wing groups.

In his presentation, the strategy also focuses on eradicating "left-wing extremists" whom the Trump administration considers "violent", including groups "who are radically pro-transgender".

This strategy also places the drug cartel in the US as the center of counter-terrorism efforts.

However, the harsh spotlight in the 2026 Counter-Terrorism Strategy document is aimed at Europe, home to many US allies who would be worried to see their continent again targeted by the Trump administration after the annexation of Greenland.

"It is clear to everyone that well-organized groups of enemies exploit open borders and related globalist ideals. The more this foreign culture develops, and the longer the current European policy lasts, the more guaranteed its terrorism is," the strategy document reads, quoted via AFP.

"As the birthplace of Western culture and values, Europe must act now and stop its deliberate regression," the document continued.

This is the latest harsh criticism of the Trump-led US Government against Europe. A few months ago, the US National Security Strategy also accused that "civilization [Europe is threatened] to be erased" due to immigration issues.

Meanwhile, regarding the war, Trump has repeatedly mocked many major European countries, including NATO members, for being reluctant to engage in a joint US-Israeli attack against Iran.
