Suhud Alynudin Approved as DKI DPRD Chairman, Legislative Agree to Replace Khoirudin

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta DPRD held a paripruna meeting which determined the proposed candidate for the DKI Jakarta DPRD Chairman to replace Khoirudin. After serving for one and a half years, Khoirudin will end his position and be replaced by Suhud Alynudin.

The proposed replacement was decided after the forum was declared quorum. A total of 83 DPRD members were present at the meeting, or about 78 percent of the total council members. Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Ima Mahdiah, said that the number of attendance had met the requirements to continue the agenda for decision-making.

"There are 83 people, where they have met 78 percent. So, I continue the meeting," Ima said in a plenary meeting at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Thursday, April 30.

This replacement process refers to the decision of the PKS Central Board of Directors dated April 2, 2026. In the decision, PKS determined the replacement of the DKI DPRD Chairman for the remaining term of office 2024-2029.

The proposal was then processed through the DPRD Consultative Body and scheduled for a plenary meeting to request the approval of members.

At the forum of the meeting, the meeting leader asked for the approval of all council members for the proposal to change the leadership of the DPRD.

"Can the proposal to replace Brother Drs. H. Khoirudin, M.Si. as Chairman of the DKI Jakarta Provincial DPRD be approved?" asked Ima.

At the same time, the participants of the meeting answered in agreement and the decision was ratified through the beating of the session hammer. The name Suhud Alynudin was then announced as the replacement proposed by the PKS. Furthermore, the DPRD will submit the determination to the Minister of Home Affairs through the Governor of DKI Jakarta.

With this decision, the political process in Kebon Sirih entered the final stage. The change of leadership is waiting for approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs before Suhud officially continues the remaining term of the DKI DPRD Chairman until 2029.

After the plenary meeting, Suhud emphasized that this leadership change was hoped to not only be a rotation of positions, but also a momentum to strengthen the synergy between the legislature and the executive.

"Hopefully, this change process can run well and also increase cooperation, collaboration, between the council, DPRD, with the executive in this case the Governor, and can also encourage the acceleration of Jakarta's development so that it is in accordance with our common hope for the people of Jakarta," said Suhud.
