PLN Checks the Installation of Electricity for Traders, Shares APAR in Ciracas

PLN UP3 Ciracas employees provide flyers and direct education to traders regarding the safe use of electricity, as an effort to increase understanding and awareness of the potential dangers of electricity in the business environment. (IST)

PLN UP3 Ciracas inspected the electricity installations of traders around its office, East Jakarta, in commemoration of World Safety and Occupational Health (K3) Day, Wednesday, April 29.

The activity entitled "Customers Care for K3, Safe and Comfortable Environment" was held by PLN Central Distribution Unit of Greater Jakarta through PLN UP3 Ciracas.

The inspection was carried out because traders use electricity in their daily business activities. PLN officers checked the installation to ensure that it was in good condition, in accordance with safety standards, and did not pose any electrical or fire risks.

In addition to the inspection, PLN also provided education to traders about the use of safe electrical installations. Traders are given an understanding of simple steps to prevent potential hazards in business areas.

After ensuring that the installation is in a safe condition, PLN distributed mini APAR or light fire extinguishers to traders. The distribution was carried out as a means of education as well as a form of concern for fire prevention.

Manager of PLN UP3 Ciracas, Feri Asmoro Hermanto, said this activity was part of the implementation of the K3 culture, not only in the PLN environment, but also with customers and the surrounding community.

"Safety is a shared responsibility. Through this activity, we want to invite customers to create a safe, comfortable, and safety-conscious environment," said Feri.

General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Moch. Andy Adchaminoerdin, said safety was PLN's priority in providing reliable electricity services.

According to Andy, K3 awareness needs to grow not only internally at PLN, but also become part of the daily behavior of customers.

"This synergy is important to create a safe electricity ecosystem, especially in densely populated areas such as Jakarta," he said.
