JAKARTA - The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Roby Heri Saputra, revealed the reason why two female domestic assistants (ART) with initials R and D jumped from the fourth floor of a boarding house in the Bendungan Hilir (Benhil) area, Central Jakarta.

According to Roby Heri Saputra based on the results of the temporary investigation, the two victims were suspected of fleeing because they felt uncomfortable working at the place.

"Temporary information, the two PRT are not comfortable. They ran away together, then jumped from the fourth floor. One person died," said Roby when confirmed, Thursday (23/4/2026).

The police have also received initial information from other witnesses who said the victim felt uncomfortable with the employer's attitude which was considered fierce. However, this information is still in the further investigation stage.

"There are witnesses who say they are uncomfortable because their employers are fierce. But for the alleged sadistic treatment, we still can't be sure. There is no evidence that the victim was tortured," he explained.

Currently, investigators are still examining a number of parties to uncover the exact cause of the incident. The police also plan to call the owner of the boarding house and the employer to be questioned.

"It is still in the process of examination," said Roby.

Meanwhile, the surviving victim D is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital due to a broken hand. His condition is reported not to be critical.

"Not critical, just a broken hand," he concluded.
