JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya is investigating a report of alleged cutting of a video of a speech by Jusuf Kalla (JK) which is said to have triggered a commotion in the community. In the report, two influencers, namely Ade Armando and Permadi Arya (Abu Janda), were reported.
The report was registered with the number LP/B/2767/IV/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA dated April 20, 2026.
Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Budi Hermanto, confirmed that the report had been received through the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT).
"The reported is still in the search," Budi told reporters, Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
According to Budi, the report concerns a video content uploaded on the Cokro TV channel. In the report, the reporter suspected Article 48 of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning the second amendment to the ITE Law in conjunction with Article 32 and/or Article 243 of the Criminal Code.
"Regarding the video content that went up on the Cokro TV channel," said Budi.

The reporter, Uncle Nurlette, together with the Maluku Lawyers' Association, assessed that the video clip of JK's speech was spread through YouTube and Facebook with provocative narratives that triggered hatred and attacked the former vice president's honor.
"Today we came to the Polda Metro Jaya in order to make a police report about the alleged criminal act of incitement and provocation allegedly committed by brothers Ade Armando and Permadi Arya through social media," said Uncle Nurlette.
He also said that the content had the potential to evoke the old trauma of the Maluku people who had experienced communal conflicts.
"It is feared that given the dark memories and collective trauma of the Maluku people who were once dragged into the very rapid flow of communal conflicts," he said.

Meanwhile, Ade Armando denied the allegation of having cut JK's lecture video. He emphasized that he only commented on a video clip that had already circulated on social media.
"I don't understand the substance of their report. How can I be accused of cutting Mr. JK's speech so that it caused a commotion?" said Ade.
"I didn't cut or edit and then spread it. All I did was comment on a piece of JK's speech that spread in the online world," he continued.
In line with this, Abu Janda also denied the allegations. He assessed that the report was based on political revenge.
"It is clear that it is a report based on hatred and political revenge," he said.
