JAKARTA - The Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) of the Attorney General's Office has named the Chairman of the Indonesian Ombudsman, Hery Susanto, as a suspect in the alleged corruption case in nickel mining business management for the period 2013-2025.

Director of Investigation of Jampidsus, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, said Hery was suspected of being involved in regulating policies related to the Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) problem faced by PT TSHI.

For his actions, Hery was charged with a number of articles in the Corruption Criminal Code, including Article 12 letters a and b, as well as Articles 5 and 6 of the new Criminal Code.
Currently, Hery has been detained for the first 20 days for the sake of investigation.
