Head of the Aceh Regional Command Post (Kaposwil) Aceh Task Force for the Acceleration of Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (PRR), Safrizal ZA, dismissed the narrative that has developed on social media that impressed the government to surrender in handling post-flood mud in Aceh.
"We need to emphasize, for us, weight means we have to work hard and never give up. All of this cannot be done instantly. So the spirit is a positive spirit to complete responsibilities, not mean to give up. Weight is the reality of the field we are conquering together," said Safrizal ZA as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, April 10.
Safrizal emphasized that the cleaning process continues to run intensively with tangible results in the field.
Safrizal explained the meaning of his statement regarding the term 'heavy' which had been misinterpreted by a number of parties.
According to him, the term is a reflection of the hard work of the team in the field, not an admission of incompetence or despair.
Based on the operational data of the Task Force, out of a total of 519 locations that were targeted in Aceh, 480 locations have been successfully cleaned up completely.
Meanwhile, the remaining 39 other locations are currently in the status of being worked on.
The location of these remains is a densely populated residential area and narrow drainage that requires careful manual handling.
To speed up the process, personnel support continues to be optimized at crucial points.
In the Aceh Tamiang area, the Task Force has deployed Praja IPDN personnel to help accelerate the cleaning of public facilities and the environment of residents so that they can be used again immediately.
In addition to deploying civil servants, Safrizal also explained the sustainability of the Phase II Padat Karya program which involves the direct participation of affected people.
In Pidie Jaya, specifically in Meureudu and Meurah Dua Districts, this program is actively running with a total of 392 participants.
"The strength in Pidie Jaya consists of 300 local residents, 80 Satpol PP and BPBD personnel, and is accompanied by 12 TNI/Polri personnel. The first wave has been running from April 6-8, and will continue again on April 14-17. This is proof that the government and the community are shoulder to shoulder in the field," he said.
Safrizal also asked the public not to be easily provoked by incomplete information on social media.
He ensured that all vital infrastructure and national roads had been completed 100 percent since January, and now the Task Force is focusing on completing the cleaning of residential areas.
"Data is the facts and our work is real. We will not stop until the last location is completely finished. We invite the public to remain optimistic in welcoming the next stage of rehabilitation and reconstruction," said Safrizal.
