Pakistan Defense Minister's Post Saying 'Israel is Evil and the Curse of Mankind' Deleted

JAKARTA - The Minister of Defense (Menhan) of Pakistan, Khawaja Asif, deleted his upload on social media that called Israel a "cancerous disease" and "a curse for humanity"

The Jerusalem Post reported on Friday, April 10, that Asif's post on X on Thursday, April 9, initially sparked protests in Israel. The Zionist government politician only in that post questioned Pakistan's ability to mediate peace talks between the US and Iran.

"Israel is evil and a curse for humanity. Peace talks are underway in Islamabad, genocide is being carried out in Lebanon. Innocent civilians are being killed by Israel, first Gaza, then Iran and now Lebanon, the bloodshed continues unabated. I hope and pray that the people who created this cancer state in the land of Palestine, who want to get rid of European Jews, burn in hell," wrote Asif in his post which has been deleted on X.

The US-Iranian peace talks after the two-week ceasefire agreement are planned to take place in Islamabad, Pakistan, today, Friday, April 10.

The Wall Street Journal quoted sources as saying that the Iranian delegation, including Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Speaker of Parliament Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, had reportedly arrived in Islamabad on Thursday night, April 9.

However, Iranian media, Press TV, citing the Tasnim news agency, said the two Iranian officials were still in Tehran, and carried out their respective duties until Friday afternoon, April 10.

A senior source told Iranian media that Araghchi-Ghalibaf's claim of arriving in Iran "is absolutely not true," and strongly denied the existence of an Iranian delegation sent to Islamabad.

According to the media, US-Iranian peace talks were suspended until the US fulfilled its commitment to a ceasefire in Lebanon and the Israeli regime stopped its attacks.
