JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has taken firm steps regarding alleged irregularities in handling public complaints through the JAKI application in Kalisari Village, East Jakarta. One of them is by recommending the inactivation of the local lurah.

This step was taken following the findings of inconsistencies in a number of reports on handling citizen complaints. Where, it was revealed that one of the follow-up complaints from residents regarding illegal parking in Kalisari Village was responded to using photos edited by artificial intelligence (AI).

DKI Jakarta Provincial Inspector Dhany Sukma said the inspection was carried out systematically to uncover facts on the ground and determine corrective steps.

"The DKI Jakarta Provincial Inspectorate has completed the examination of alleged irregularities in handling public complaints in Kalisari Village. The results of this examination are the basis for corrective steps and strengthening of supervision, so that handling public complaints runs more orderly, accountable, and in accordance with regulations," said Dhany in his statement, Tuesday, April 7.

Based on the results, the Inspectorate recommended to the Mayor of East Jakarta Administration to deactivate Siti Nur Hasanah from her position as Kalisari Village Head.

In addition, sanctions are also directed at a number of officials at the village level. The Head of the Government Section and the Head of the Economic and Development Section of Kalisari Village will be subject to disciplinary action accompanied by coaching.

Not only that, the three public infrastructure and facilities handling officers (PPSU) who were proven to be involved will also be subject to sanctions in accordance with the provisions in the work contract.

Dhany emphasized that this step was not merely about giving sanctions, but also part of an effort to improve the public service supervision and governance system.

"This step is part of the bureaucratic reform advocated by Governor Pramono Anung. We will continue to strengthen supervision, increase accountability, and ensure that every public complaint is handled honestly, quickly, and can be held accountable. This is not just about sanctions, but also a comprehensive system improvement so that similar incidents do not recur," said Dhany.

As previously reported, the Threads @seinsh social media account complained about reports of illegal parking in residential areas. Where, the person concerned has reported to the village level but has not been followed up.

When he reported through the JAKI application, the officer had attached a photo of the follow-up handling. However, it is suspected that the photo was made with AI technology.

"How do you handle the problem of illegal parking on the street of the village? The residents protested directly to the perpetrator, it didn't work, it was reported to the village level, it wasn't finished, and try to report through the fake evidence of the AI (attached)," said the account @seinsh.
