JAKARTA - The government has started targeting state land in strategic areas for the construction of apartment buildings. Minister of Public Housing Maruarar Sirait (Ara) said state-owned land, especially those related to railways, SOEs, and Danantara, were prioritized for people's housing.
Ara said the directive came directly from President Prabowo Subianto. The focus is not on land on the outskirts, but rather strategic points in the city that have been the most difficult for low-income residents to touch.
