Strengthen the Synergy of APH, Banjarbaru Prison Collaborates with TNI-Polri-BNN to Clean the Housing Block

BANJARBARU - The Banjarbaru Class IIB Penitentiary (Lapas) held a search of the residential block and urine test for officers and inmates, Monday (6/4/2026). This activity involves Law Enforcement Agencies (APH) from the TNI, Polri, and BNN elements in order to commemorate the 62nd Anniversary of Penitentiary Service.

The activity which started at 08.40 WITA was directly led by the Head of Banjarbaru Class IIB Prison, I Made Supartana, accompanied by structural officials and all levels of employees. Also present at this activity were 3 personnel from the Cempaka Police, Banjarbaru Police, 3 personnel from Koramil 1006-07 Banjarbaru, and 4 personnel from the Banjarbaru City BNN.

The series of activities began with a preparation and briefing for all officers, then continued with a search of the residents' living blocks. This activity is a follow-up to the instructions of the Directorate General of Corrections of the Republic of Indonesia in order to increase vigilance against potential disturbances of security and order (kamtib), as well as an effort to prevent and detect early the circulation of prohibited goods within the prison.

All the goods seized have been inventoried and recorded, then destroyed in accordance with the applicable procedures. In addition to the search, officers also conducted urine tests on employees and inmates as concrete steps in preventing drug abuse in the prison environment.

The Head of Banjarbaru Class IIB Prison, I Made Supartana, emphasized that this activity was a form of strong commitment in realizing a clean correctional environment from violations.

"This activity is part of our commitment to create a prison that is free from cellphones, illegal levies, and drugs, or known as Zero Halinar. Synergy with the TNI, Polri, and BNN is the key to maintaining security and order in prisons," said I Made Supartana.

He also added that similar activities would continue to be carried out periodically as a step in early detection and efforts to maintain the integrity of officers and inmates. Through this activity, Banjarbaru Class IIB Prison continues to strengthen its commitment to maintaining security and order, and creating a safe, orderly, and drug-free correctional environment.
