JAKARTA - Iran said it had attacked US forces on the Bubiyan island, Kuwait on Monday, April 6.
Citing Reuters, spokesman for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters of Iran, Ebrahim Zolfaghari said Iranian drones targeted US satellite infrastructure and military ammunition on the island.
In his statement via a video shared by state media, Zolfaghari explained that US forces had moved there from a US military base in Arifjan, Kuwait.
The US Army installation in Arifjan, which was built with funding from the Kuwaiti government, has been repeatedly attacked by Iran.
Bubiyan Island in the northwest of the Gulf is known to be the largest island in the group of coastal islands of Kuwait.
The Kuwaiti health ministry earlier said at least six people were injured by debris falling on residential areas in northern Kuwait after Iran attacked US military assets in Kuwait.
