KUNINGAN - The Minister of Culture (Menbud) Fadli Zon did not come to Kuningan just to see old buildings. When reviewing the Paseban Tri Panca Tunggal and the Raksa Wacana Arts Building, Kuningan, West Java, Saturday, April 4, 2026, the Minister of Culture emphasized that cultural spaces that store history and local identity should not be allowed to survive on their own.

In the Tri Panca Tunggal Paseban, Fadli emphasized that preservation could not be imposed on one party. Cultural heritage, said the Minister, will only survive if it is maintained and used together.

"We must jointly preserve this cultural heritage. We will continue to support and utilize together so that this cultural heritage can be sustainable and sustainable. We will focus on supporting the progress of culture, including this Paseban Tri Panca Tunggal cultural heritage," he said.

Paseban in Cigugur Village is not just a historic building. This place is the center of Sunda Wiwitan teachings which are guarded by the Karuhun Urang indigenous people (AKUR). From this room, the Seren Taun tradition was born, a harvest thanksgiving ritual that reflects food sovereignty and human relations with nature.

Menbud Fadli then moved to the Raksa Wacana Arts Building. Here, he again emphasized the importance of working together across parties - central, regional, private, and philanthropic - to keep the arts space alive.

"The presence of art buildings in every district is very important. We will support the revitalization of art buildings, cultural parks, museums, and must involve all parties," said Menbud Fadli.

The Raksa Wacana building was born from the idea of H. Aang Hamid Suganda. In Sundanese, his name means to keep the trust. Now, the building is directed to become a cultural learning space for children, so that they know their roots from an early age.

This visit emphasizes that preservation is not enough to stop recognition. Without real support and the involvement of many parties, the cultural space will still stand, but slowly lose its meaning.
