President Prabowo and the President of South Korea meet, agree to increase cooperation to AI

Seoul, South Korea - Indonesia and South Korea have agreed to carry out a special comprehensive strategic partnership (special comprehensive strategic partnership) which is expected to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries.

President Prabowo said that this was the result of his meeting with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung at the Blue House, Seoul, Wednesday, April 1. During the meeting, President Prabowo said that the discussion between the two leaders of the country was productive and yielded results.

Furthermore, President Prabowo believes that this cooperation will be a new milestone for both countries in strengthening bilateral relations. For President Prabowo, Indonesia and South Korea actually have the same interests because they both have similar backgrounds.

On the same occasion, Lee detailed a number of agreements between Indonesia and South Korea in the cooperation, which includes the economy and innovation, the defense industry, and culture.

According to him, all points of cooperation are based on a high level of trust and the close partnership between the two countries so far. In terms of economy, Lee said that there will be many South Korean companies participating in the national strategic industrial sector which is expected to be able to help Indonesia achieve the Indonesia Emas vision.

In addition, Lee also expressed his hope for strategic investment cooperation between the Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI), which he said has now evolved into a world-class sovereign wealth fund institution.

Meanwhile, in the field of defense industry, Lee said that Indonesia and South Korea would strengthen cooperation in the shipbuilding sector so that both countries could become global maritime powers.

This cooperation, he continued, is a continuation of the success of the development of fighter aircraft that had previously been carried out by the two countries.

Then, the two countries are also said to work together in integrating Indonesian big data with South Korea's artificial intelligence (AI) technology to solve various humanitarian issues through strengthening the AI ecosystem.
