TNI Guarantees Transparency in Handling the Andrie Yunus Water Hardening Case

JAKARTA - The Head of the Information Center (Kapuspen) of the TNI Headquarters, Major General TNI Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, ensured that his ranks worked as optimally and transparently as possible in investigating the case of pouring hard water on KontraS activist Andrie Yunus.

"The TNI is committed to carrying out the law enforcement process in an open, professional, and accountable manner," said Aulia as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 1.

According to Aulia, his party has tried to open the stages of the investigation process to the public.

This openness was carried out by announcing four members of the Strategic Intelligence Agency (Bais) as well as the alleged perpetrators of the water spraying, namely Captain NDP, Lieutenant One SL, Lieutenant One BHW, and Sergeant Two ES were named as suspects.

"The four perpetrators have been named as suspects and have been detained at the Pomdam Jaya Guntur military detention facility (maximum security) since March 18, 2026," explained Aulia.

"The article applied to the suspect is the article on persecution," added Aulia.

The TNI Military Police (Pom) has also attempted to examine several witnesses related to the watering case. One of them is to examine Andrie Yunus as a victim witness.

Aulia explained that initially the investigators intended to examine Andrie Yunus on Thursday (19/3), but the doctor did not allow it for Andrie Yunus's health reasons.

"Furthermore, on March 25, 2026, the TNI Puspom received a letter from the Chairman of the LPSK stating that the victim's witness AY was under the protection of the LPSK," said Aulia.

"The commander of the TNI Puspom has sent a letter to the Chairman of the LPSK regarding the request to ask for information from the victim AY witness," he added.

However, Aulia did not elaborate further on whether the request was granted by the LPSK. Aulia ensured that his party would continue to try to uncover this case for the sake of justice for Andrie Yunus.
