Showcasing Relations with the DKI DPRD, Pramono: Very Harmonious

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung claims that the relationship between the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and the DPRD is currently quite harmonious. This was conveyed by Pramono at the halalbihalal event held by the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

In his remarks, Pramono assessed that the cohesiveness was an important factor in the course of government until the achievement of regional performance.

"This is a very important event for me and Mr. Deputy Governor and we are present. Because why are we here? The relationship between the DKI Jakarta Government and the DKI Jakarta Provincial DPRD, in my opinion, is very harmonious," said Pramono at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Monday, March 30.

Pramono admitted that he often conveyed to many parties, the relationship between the regional government and the DPRD in Jakarta is currently different from the government's condition in the previous period. Where, there is often a difference in political views between the executive and legislative branches of different coalitions.

"Even when I meet with everyone, I always say, usually the DPRD if it is the same as the regional government, it is very fierce. Why can this relationship go well?" said Pramono.

According to Pramono, the support of the DPRD is an inseparable factor from various achievements of governance in Jakarta, including economic growth which is said to exceed the national figure.

"Our economic growth last year was 5.21 percent above the national economic growth of 5.11 percent, it was impossible to achieve without the support of all of you," he said.

He also touched on the regional fiscal condition when the revenue sharing (DBH) in the 2026 APBD was cut to Rp. 15 trillion. In this situation, Pramono admitted that he asked the DPRD to maintain a number of priority budget posts.

The three things in question include education budgets through KJP and KJMU, employee spending allocated for state civil servants (ASN), and social assistance.

[/see_also] Pramono said that despite facing budget pressure, the realization of the APBD was still running according to target. He also mentioned the many awards received by the DKI Provincial Government in recent times.

"We are going through a difficult time with alhamdulillah everything goes well. Our APBD last year was almost all in line with the target," said Pramono.

"So, let's take care of it together. To keep Jakarta, it can't just be the City Hall government or the DKI Jakarta Provincial DPRD. Of course, it must involve all existing stakeholders, including the central government," he continued.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Khoirudin, also emphasized that the harmonious relationship between the legislature and the executive has so far had a positive impact on the community.

He added that the DPRD is focusing on monitoring the implementation of Law Number 2 of 2024 concerning the specificity of Jakarta, especially regarding the 15 authorities that must remain in the local government.

"Of course, after that, how do we increase productivity to be able to serve the people of Jakarta. We are challenged by the DPRD because the mandate of Law Number 2 of 2024 Article 19 which contains the specificity of Jakarta, there are 15 specificities that we must control so that the rights of the regional government are not taken by the center," said Khoirudin.

According to Khoirudin, the DPRD also oversees the preparation of a number of regional regulations (Perda) so that the authority to execute remains in the DKI Provincial Government, including in the management of areas such as the Thousand Islands, which are currently in contact with central government policies.

"The two regions, although geographically ours, the permit and retributions are the rights of the ministry. We only have geography. We want to control 15 Perda as the specificity of Jakarta, the right to execute is in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government," he added.
