100 Transjakarta Buses Ready to Transport Residents to the People's Market at Monas

JAKARTA - PT Transjakarta said that as many as 100 bus units are ready to pick up and pick up residents from all regions to the People's Market which takes place in the National Monument area, Central Jakarta, this Saturday.

"This is a form of our commitment in ensuring equal access for all people to attend and enjoy this activity," said Head of Public Relations and CSR Department of PT Transportasi Jakarta Ayu Wardhani as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, March 28.

According to him, although there is traffic engineering on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, South, North, and East, the public can still access the Monas area through the Transjakarta service, namely Corridor 1 (M-Kota Block), Corridor 2 (Pulo Gadung-Monas), and Corridor 3 (Kalideres-Monas).

Then, route 1A (Pantai Maju-City Hall), 1P (Senen-M Block), 5C (Cililitan-Juanda), 6A (Ragunan-City Hall via Kuningan), 6B (Ragunan-City Hall via

Semanggi), 7F(Kp Rambutan-Juanda via Cempaka Putih) to 14A (Monas-JIS).

All of them with a stop point at the Monas Stop, City Hall Stop, and Gambir Stop.

During the activity, a number of services will be diverted through alternative routes, including Hayam Wuruk Street-Majapahit Street-MH Thamrin Street, IrHJuanda Street-Pos Street-Banteng Field Street, Abdul Muis Street-Budi Kemuliaan Street, and Kebon Sirih Street-Jati Baru Raya Street.

Ayu added that the People's Market is not only a space for interaction and entertainment for the community, but also an opportunity to encourage changes in the mobility behavior of residents towards the use of public transportation that is more sustainable.
