Seskab Teddy: President Prabowo Holds People's Bazaar at Monas, Invites Citizens to Celebrate Eid in Unity

JAKARTA - Still in the atmosphere of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, President Prabowo Subianto instructed the organization of a bazaar and folk entertainment for the public in the National Monument (Monas) area, Jakarta. The activity will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in the afternoon.

In a written statement, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya explained that the activity was part of the government's efforts to bring Eid happiness to the wider community, especially Jakarta residents who did not return home or who had returned from their hometowns, especially the beneficiary families.

"Starting from the high enthusiasm of the people during Eid last week at the Palace, the President wants as many people as possible to share the happiness of Eid in a warm and full of togetherness atmosphere," wrote the Cabinet Secretary.

Various activities and facilities are prepared for the public, ranging from people's bazaars to family entertainment. The government provides 100,000 grocery shopping coupons and free goods worth Rp500,000, as well as 300,000 free meals served by about 800 street vendors.

In addition, the people's bazaar also involves traders from various trading centers such as Tanah Abang and Senen, so that it also encourages the economic circulation of the community. To add to the excitement, the committee also prepared various attractive prizes, including 1,000 units of bicycles and 100 units of electric motorcycles as door prizes for visitors.

The atmosphere of togetherness was also presented through various children's games and folk entertainment stages featuring the Wali and Bagindas music group. The activity which took place at Silang Monas starting at 16.00 to 21.00 WIB is expected to be a space for togetherness for all levels of society.

Through this activity, the government wants to emphasize that the celebration of Eid al-Fitr is not only an annual tradition, but also an opportunity to strengthen togetherness, bring happiness, and strengthen the relationship between the government and the community.
