JAKARTA - The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the unanimous adoption by the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) of a resolution addressing the impact of Iran's unjustified attacks on Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Jordan.
The ministry noted that the adoption of the resolution by consensus during the 61st session of the council reflected the collective rejection of the international community of Iran's attacks as well as condemnation of the act as a gross violation of human rights.
"The Kingdom once again condemns Iran's attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and countries in the region, which are flagrant violations of state sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as clear violations of international charters and laws," the ministry said in a statement as written by SPA-OANA, Thursday, March 26.
Saudi also stressed that targeting countries that are not parties to the conflict is a blatant act of aggression that cannot be justified or accepted.
