One Young Traveler Dies in a Bus that is in Gilimanuk, Bali

JAKARTA - One traveler was found dead in a bus that was queuing to the Gilimanuk Port, Jembrana Regency, Bali.

"We received a report from the bus conductor that a passenger fainted. When we checked inside the bus, the person concerned had died," said the Head of the Gilimanuk Security Task Force in the Ketupat Agung 2026 Operation, Commissioner of Police (Kompol) I Nyoman Wiryadarma, in Gilimanuk, Bali, Wednesday.

The officer, who also serves as the Commander of Battalion C of the Pioneer Unit of the Bali Police's Brimob, said the female passenger with the initials R with a destination of Kebumen, Central Java, was then taken to the Gilimanuk Health Center for further examination.

"From the examination of medical officers, it was declared dead. We are coordinating with the family for the return of the body to Central Java," he said.

The Jembrana Police Chief, Deputy Commissioner of Police (AKBP) Kadek Citra Dewi Suparwati, when confirmed, said the passenger's body had been sent to his home area.

Regarding the cause of death of the woman who boarded the bus from Denpasar, he said, the medical team only conducted an external examination.

"From the outside examination, there were no unnatural things found. Further examinations such as autopsies were not carried out," he said.

With this disaster, he appealed to travelers to pay attention to their health before leaving, because the situation on the road is uncertain.

"We certainly don't know the health conditions of each traveler. The only one who knows is themselves. If you are not healthy, it's better to rest," he said.

In addition to one person dying, in the previous days dozens of travelers also fainted who immediately received help from officers.
