PALEMBANG - The police are investigating the death of a prisoner at the Banyuasin Class IIB Narcotics Prison, South Sumatra, who was rushed to the hospital before being declared dead.
Head of Public Relations of South Sumatra Police, Kombes Nandang Mu'min Wijaya, said the victim was known as Sandi (29), a resident of Talang Jambe, Talang Kelapa District, Banyuasin Regency.
"The victim was previously found unconscious in the prison bathroom before being taken to the Emergency Department of Sukajadi Hospital by officers using an ambulance on Tuesday at around 20.40 WIB," he explained in Palembang, Antara, Monday, March 16.
