H-5 Lebaran, 23 Thousand Passengers Depart from Pasar Senen Station

JAKARTA - A total of 23,259 train passengers departed from Pasar Senen Station, Central Jakarta on Monday or H-5 Lebaran 1447 Hijriah/2026.

"Meanwhile, for arrivals at Pasar Senen Station, 9,405 passengers," said KAI Public Relations Manager for Jakarta Railway Station 1, Franoto Wibowo, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, March 16.

The total number of passengers departing from all stations in the Jakarta Daop 1 area, including Pasar Senen, Gambir, Bekasi, Cikampek, Cikarang, Jatinegara, and Karawang, to this afternoon reached 51,584 people, with 23,939 passengers arriving.

The volume of departure and arrival passengers today is lower than the previous day, namely 52,008 people (departures) and 26,935 people (arrivals).

During this year's Lebaran Transportation, which took place from March 11 to April 1, 2026, KAI provided a total seating capacity of 1,076,196 seats.

"Total tickets sold/ordered 719,988 tickets. The average occupancy (seat filling) is currently around 67 percent," said Franoto.

Franoto said the highest sales period was from March 11-20 (return/pre-lebaran) with a total of 468,795 tickets sold/booked by the public.

The date with the highest sales was March 14 with 51,128 tickets, March 15 (52,008 tickets), March 16 (51,584 tickets). Then, March 17 (49,557 tickets), March 18 (49,507 tickets), March 19 (49,203 tickets), and March 20 (49,219 tickets).

"In this period, the lowest remaining seats, on average less than 1,000 seats per day," said Franoto.
