1,300 Iranian Children and Civilians Killed in Israeli-United States Attack

JAKARTA - More than 1,300 Iranian children and civilians have been killed since the United States and Israel launched an attack on the Land of the Mullahs, the Iranian Embassy in Indonesia said Thursday.

In a written statement, the Iranian Embassy wrote that the US and Israeli attacks since February 28 have targeted medical centers and educational facilities, in addition to causing civilian deaths and injuries.

"Since February 28 to this day, more than 1,300 children and innocent civilians have been martyred," the Iranian Embassy wrote as quoted (9/3).

The attacks also destroyed 9,669 civilian targets, including 7,943 residential houses, 1,617 trade and service centers, 32 medical and pharmaceutical centers, 65 schools and educational facilities, 13 Red Crescent Society buildings, as well as a number of energy infrastructure, the Iranian Embassy said.

"American and Zionist aggressors also attacked Iran's vital infrastructure, including civilian airports, passenger planes, and seawater desalination facilities on Qeshm Island," the Iranian Embassy wrote.

Stressing the legitimate and legal right to defend its territory, in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter, the Iranian Armed Forces will use all its capabilities and capacities to face aggression.

Further, Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the son of the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei who was elected as his father's successor as Supreme Leader of Iran with 85 percent of the votes in the Assembly of Experts, led the 40th phase of Iran's Faithful Promise 4 Operation against the Zionist region.

The election of Mojtaba as Khamenei's replacement proves that Iran does not depend on one individual, but rather a system based on the rule of law, the voice of the people and the values of Godliness.

"Despite losing a great leader, a number of high-ranking officials and senior military commanders, this system will continue to run with firmness and strength under the new leader," the Iranian Embassy wrote.

The Iranian Embassy added that the defense operation was aimed at targets and facilities that were the source and starting point of aggression against Iran or those who supported it.

"Iran remains committed to maintaining and continuing friendly relations with regional countries based on the principles of mutual respect, good neighborly relations, and respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity," he explained.

Iran insists its defensive operations against "US military bases and installations in the region should not be seen as hostility against countries in the region."
