Flood Recovery Assistance Dispensed to Aceh Tamiang, Cultural Sites and Schools Are a Concern

ACEH TAMIANG - Post-flood recovery in Aceh Tamiang not only touches residents, but also historical areas and educational activities. During a working visit to Aceh Province, Saturday, March 7, Culture Minister Fadli Zon reviewed a number of flood-affected locations and handed over assistance to residents, schools, and temporary housing.

The locations visited include the area around the Banuaraja Palace Site, the National Inspiration School, and the huntara for flood-affected residents. The assistance was symbolically handed over to residents around the site, the school, and the temporary housing manager. There was also a handover of rendang assistance in the series of activities.

On the ground, attention is not only focused on physical damage, but also on the resilience of the community to move again. The Minister of Culture assessed that the spirit of the people and students was an important capital in the recovery process. "By looking at the spirit of the community, from parents to children, we believe that we can rise, be optimistic, and recover quickly and strongly," said Menbud Fadli Zon.

This assistance is said to be part of the Ministry of Culture's support so that recovery in the affected areas does not stop at the emergency stage. The government wants community activities, the preservation of cultural sites, and the learning process in the area to be able to resume.

Deputy Governor of Aceh Fadlullah and Regent of Aceh Tamiang Armia Fahmi were present at the event. Also accompanying the Ministry of Culture and the cultural preservation hall.

At the end of the visit, Fadli Zon emphasized that the recovery of Aceh Tamiang would be supported by joint work between the center, the region, and the community.
