JAKARTA - The Immigration Office of Class I TPI Tanjung Priok makes a passport making service for sailors who operate at the Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta. This facility is presented specifically to make it easier for the community.

The activity was carried out by the Tanjung Priok Class I Immigration Office together with the Tanjung Priok Main Port City and Port Authority (KSOP).

The launch of the Immigration Corner was carried out at the Main KSOP Building, Tanjung Priok. Later, sailors no longer need to travel long distances or queue at the immigration office, the pick-up service is already in front of their eyes.

"The passport application process, from the submission of documents to the collection of biometrics, can now be carried out directly in the port area," said Head of the Tanjung Priok Immigration Office, Imam Setiawan, when confirmed, Saturday, March 7, 2026.

This service facility is made to integrate bureaucracy between shipping documents (Seafarers' Book) with travel documents (passport) and Maritime Economic support to accelerate the mobility of national and international ship crews who have very tight docking schedules.

"We understand that time is everything for a sailor. With this Immigration Corner, we are present to provide legal certainty and convenience of services right in the heart of their activities," he said.

Previously, sailors were often constrained by time when the ship was docked (port stay) for a short time to take care of travel documents. The existence of this service facility is expected to be able to eliminate these obstacles.
