Woman Passenger of Yamaha Mio Dies After Being Hit by a Trailer Truck in North Jakarta

JAKARTA - A woman passenger on a Yamaha Mio B 6827 PPJ motorcycle with the initials ZN was found dead after being hit by the left wheel of a trailer truck with the number B 9083 FEH driven by the perpetrator with the initials DA.

The incident occurred on the West Pelabuhan Highway, specifically near Post 9.A, Koja, North Jakarta. Meanwhile, the man with the initials ST, a Yamaha Mio motorcycle rider, was also seriously injured.

The Head of the Laka Lantas Unit of the North Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Edy Wibowo, said the incident began when the two victims ST were riding a Yamaha Mio motorcycle and riding ZN on Jalan Raya Pelabuhan.

"Then the trailer vehicle driven by a man with the initials DA drove from east to west on the Mbah Priok Flyover. Upon arrival at the scene, the trailer hit the motorcycle driven by the victim who was traveling in the same direction on the left side," said AKP Edy when confirmed, Saturday, March 7, 2026.

As a result of the incident, the motorcyclist fell. Meanwhile, ZN who was riding the motorcycle was also thrown into the trailer undercarriage until he was hit by the trailer wheel.

"The passenger was hit by the wheel of the wheel until he died at the scene. The victim's motorcycle also suffered severe damage," he said.

The victim ZN suffered injuries to the body and legs were crushed by the trailer wheel. The victim's body was taken to the RSCM Central Jakarta for further processing.
