TANJUNG SELOR - The North Kalimantan Provincial Government (Pemprov) issued a circular on corruption prevention and gratification control ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah/2026 Masehi.

Circular Letter Number 700.1.2.2/0872/INSPEKTORAT/GUB which was issued on Wednesday (4/3) emphasized the prohibition for all State Civil Servants (ASN) and state organizers in the environment of the North Kalimantan Provincial Government to ask, give, or receive gratification related to their positions in the holiday momentum.

Zainal emphasized that compliance with the rules was part of the commitment to maintain bureaucratic integrity.

"Ahead of Eid al-Fitr, I remind all ASN and state organizers in the environment of the North Sumatra Provincial Government not to ask, give, or receive gratification in any form related to their positions," said Zainal, Wednesday, March 4.

He explained that every civil servant or state organizer who receives gratification and is contrary to his duties or duties is obliged to report to the KPK no later than 30 working days from the date of receipt.

"If you receive gratification related to your position and contrary to your obligations, you must report it to the KPK. This is a form of transparency and our responsibility as aparatur," he explained.

Zainal revealed that the request for funds or gifts, including a portion of the Eid Al-Fitr Allowance (THR) with any name, either personally or on behalf of the institution, is a prohibited act and can have criminal implications.

"There must be no request for funds, parcels, or other forms of gifts for any reason, including in the name of office needs. It is prohibited and potentially a criminal act of corruption," said Zainal.

In addition, ASN and BUMD cadres are prohibited from utilizing official facilities for personal interests during the celebration of holidays. He also appealed to the public not to give gratification to government officials.

"If there is a request for gratification, bribes, or extortion by civil servants or state administrators, immediately report to law enforcement officers or authorities," he said.
