SEMARANG - Central Java Regional Police is preparing to escort fuel trucks during the 2026 Lebaran homecoming and return, especially during high traffic density, to facilitate the distribution of energy.

"The escort of fuel tank vehicles will be carried out according to the needs of the field, especially on routes that experience an increase in vehicle volume," said Head of Public Relations of Central Java Police, Kompol Artanto, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 3.

He explained that this effort was carried out so that the distribution of energy to various regions during the homecoming and Lebaran holidays could be maintained.

Therefore, he also expects the support of the community who will return home to play an active role in maintaining the smooth flow of the homecoming journey by implementing a mature travel planning.

Artanto urged motorists to ensure the adequacy of vehicle fuel before starting a journey.

He also appealed to motorists who will travel long distances by crossing toll roads to fill up their fuel before traveling.

"Don't wait for the fuel to run out before refilling to avoid long queues and the risk of vehicles breaking down on the way," he said.

Meanwhile, the Area Manager for Communication, Relations, CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Central Java Regional Taufiq Kurniawan added that routine coordination with various stakeholders to ensure the smooth distribution of energy during the fasting and Eid al-Fitr period has been carried out.

"We ensure that all distribution infrastructure is in optimal condition, ranging from fuel terminals, tanker fleets, to SPBU services on main roads, alternative routes, and tourist areas," he said.

Artanto also appealed to the public to fill up with fuel early before entering the congested lanes and using non-cash payment methods.

According to him, non-cash transactions can speed up services at gas stations, thus helping to reduce queues, especially during peak periods of homecoming and return.
