US-Israeli Attack on Iran Kills 201 Dead and Injures 747

JAKARTA - The US-Israeli aggression against Iran, including the capital Tehran, not only caused infrastructure damage and killed Ali Khamenei but also swallowed at least 201 people dead and 747 wounded.

Meanwhile, from the military side, the US and Israeli attacks killed the commander of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Mohammad Pakpour, the chief of staff of the Iranian military Abdulrahim Mousavi, Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh and Secretary of the Defense Council Ali Shamkhani.

The aggression was then retaliated by Iran with missile attacks on Israeli territory, as well as on a number of US military installations in the Middle East.

The IRGC and the Iranian Army, in their written statement, vowed to avenge Khamenei's death. The attacks were directed at 27 points, including the Tel Nof air base in central Israel, the Israeli army headquarters, and a military industrial complex in Tel Aviv.

Demonstrations also broke out on Sunday (1/3) in various areas of Iran following the announcement of Khamenei's death.

Residents took to the streets in cities across Iran in response to the news of Khamenei's death.

Iranian media said demonstrators carrying Iranian flags gathered in city centers to voice their grief.

In Tehran, hundreds of people gathered at Inqilab Square, waving flags and posters of Khamenei, and chanting slogans condemning the US and Israel.

In the holy city of Qom, hundreds of people gathered at the tomb of Hazrat Masume to condemn the attack.

Meanwhile, in Mashhad, mourners expressed their grief by spreading black flags over the dome of the Imam Reza Mausoleum, one of Iran's most revered religious sites, and many were seen shedding tears around the tomb.

US President Donald Trump said Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as "one of the most evil people in history". He also said Khamenei could not avoid the US's advanced intelligence and tracking system and said his country's close cooperation with Israel made the Iranian leader and a number of other officials unable to escape.
