HPN 2026 and PWI's 80th Anniversary: Adityawarman Adil Appreciation for the Launch of the Bogor City PWI Ambulance

BOGOR - The Regional Representative Council (DPRD) of Bogor City appreciates the real steps of the press in helping the community through the launch of a free ambulance by the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) of Bogor City.

The appreciation was conveyed by the Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD, Adityawarman Adil, when attending the launch of the Bogor City PWI Ambulances at the Bogor City PWI Secretariat, Jalan Tirto Adhi Suryo, Tanah Sareal, Wednesday, February 11. This activity was held in commemoration of the National Press Day (HPN) 2026 and the 80th anniversary of PWI.

The Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD was present with the Deputy Chairman I of the DPRD, Rusli Prihatevy, Deputy Chairman III Dadang Iskandar Danubrata, as well as a number of members of the Bogor City DPRD, including Karnain, Safrudin Bima, Banu Lesmana, and Hj. Hakanna.

In his remarks, Adityawarman emphasized the importance of synergy between the local government, legislature, and the press as the fourth pillar of democracy in building Bogor City.

"God willing, this collaboration will be the main capital in building Bogor City. We really appreciate PWI not only holding the HPN and PWI anniversary ceremonies, but also providing free ambulances for the community," said Adityawarman.

He hopes that the existence of the ambulance can provide wide benefits, especially for residents who need emergency health services.

A similar appreciation was conveyed by the Deputy Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD, Rusli Prihatevy. According to him, the provision of ambulances shows PWI's social concern which goes beyond the function of the press as a watchdog of public policy.

"This proves that the press not only carries out its social control function through reporting, but also presents itself with real actions in the community," said Rusli.

He added that the ambulance became a symbol of humanitarian values in Bogor City, especially when it was launched to coincide with the historic momentum of the 80th anniversary of PWI.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Bogor City PWI, Herman Indrabudi, explained that the commemoration of HPN and PWI 2026 HUT carried the theme "Healthy Press, Sovereign Economy, Strong Nation". The theme is realized through social programs that directly touch the needs of the people.

"This ambulance we dedicate to the people of Bogor City. We want the presence of PWI to be felt not only through journalistic works, but also through real actions, especially in emergency situations," said Herman.

The peak event was marked by the launch procession of the PWI Bogor City Ambulances. The Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD together with the Deputy Mayor of Bogor City Jenal Mutaqin also reviewed and tried out the ambulance facilities.

The presence of this ambulance fleet is expected to accelerate the response of health services and provide real benefits to the people of Bogor City.
