The regulation stipulates that members of the National Police can be dismissed dishonorably if they violate the oath, the promise of the post, and the code of ethics of the profession, including committing acts of violence.

Maluku Police Chief Inspector General Dadang Hartanto hopes that the verdict of the KEPP trial can provide a sense of justice for the victims' families as well as a proof of the institution's commitment to upholding discipline and transparency in handling cases.
