Banten Police confirmed that there was no determination of a suspect for the driver of an ojek with the initials MA in a traffic accident on the Pandeglang-Labuan Highway, Pandeglang Regency, on January 27, 2026, which resulted in the death of the ojek passenger.
Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police, Kombes Maruli Ahiles Hutapea, said the case was still under investigation by the Pandeglang Police Traffic Unit.

He explained that the accident occurred on Friday (20/2) at 12.30 WIB in Gardu Tanjak Village, Pandeglang Village, Pandeglang District.
The vehicles involved were a Suzuki XL7 village ambulance car driven by BP and a Honda Revo motorcycle driven by MA with KR passengers.
According to him, both vehicles were traveling from Pandeglang to Labuan. At the location, the motorcycle allegedly fell into a hole so that the rider lost control.
"The motorcycle tire entered the hole so that the person using the motorcycle in front lost control, then fell. Then the motorcycle passenger, brother KR, bounced to the right, then went into the undercarriage of the village standby car that passed by the motorcycle," he said.
This resulted in the head of the motorcycle passenger being hit by the left rear tire of the village standby car.
As a result of the incident, the passenger died on the spot, while the driver was injured and evacuated to Berkah Pandeglang Hospital.
Maruli added that a police report had been received from the victim's family and investigators were still collecting evidence and witness statements.
"So, there are no suspects, it's still in the investigation stage. We will later collect evidence from the Pandeglang Police Traffic Unit, find witnesses who saw, knew, heard about this incident. That material will be used to file a case," he said.
Head of the Pandeglang Police Traffic Unit, Deputy Commissioner of Police Burhanudin Surya Muhammad, emphasized that his party was still collecting evidence to conduct a case study.
