"The defendant took advantage of access to the bank's internal system and abused his authority to liquidate deposits and withdraw customer savings without permission," he said.
Mohammad Riski said in the indictment, the public prosecutor revealed that the funds taken from customers were used to play online gambling or online and the personal needs of the defendant.
The defendant's modus operandi, he said, among others, making fictitious deposits without physical money, forging the customer's signature on the withdrawal slip.

"To carry out the action, the defendant used his boss's account and password to approve transactions that required bank officials' authorization," said Mohammad Riski.
The public prosecutor accused the defendant of violating Article 66 paragraph (2) of Law Number 21 of 2008 concerning Islamic banking as amended to Article 66 paragraph (3) in Part Three concerning Islamic banking in Law Number 4 of 2023 concerning the strengthening and development of the financial sector jo Article 65 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
